AWS backend development PostgreSQL  gRPC Docker

We are looking for a Senior Backend/Platform Engineer to work on the core team as a backend/platform developer.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop high performance code
• Play a key role in maps and routing platform infrastructure
• Work with other engineers and QA to deliver high quality software to our customers
• Write clean code and tests
• Participate in design and code reviews

Requirements and Skills:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 3+ years of experience in cloud/platform/backend related design, development
• Experience with backend technologies such as node.js or GO
• Knowledge of the HTTP specification, and strong opinions around RESTful API design
• Experience with cloud integration including AWS (ECS, CloudFormation, S3, etc)
• Experience with Redis, Apache Spark, distributed data processing pipelines and data engineering is strongly preferred
• Good communication skills in English, both writing and speaking

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Protocol Buffers and gRPC
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL
• Experience in C++, Python
