NDrive Joins Overture Maps Foundation to Revolutionize Global Map Data

In an exciting development for the mapping industry, NDrive, a premier provider of navigation and geolocation solutions, announced it is joining the Overture Maps Foundation (Overture). By joining the foundation, NDrive aims to significantly enhance commercial-grade global map data that can be used under open licenses to create a broad range of interoperable map products that will benefit developers, businesses, and users worldwide.

Part of The Linux Foundation, Overture is a groundbreaking collaborative effort that includes some of the world’s largest technology providers, mapping companies, and end user organizations. Its mission is to build comprehensive map data that is open, accurate, reliable and easily  accessible to developers and organizations around the globe. Their Beta release, issued in April 2024,  includes essential layers like Places of Interest (POIs), Buildings, Transportation Network, and Administrative Boundaries, and a contextual Base Layer, setting a solid foundation for future map products and applications.

At NDrive, we are known for our cutting-edge navigation technology and mapping data expertise. Therefore, it’s clear that we are set to make contributions to the Overture ecosystem.
