We are looking for a Senior Backend/Platform Engineer to work on the core team as a backend/platform developer.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop high performance code
- Play a key role in maps and routing platform infrastructure
- Work with other engineers and QA to deliver high quality software to our customers
- Write clean code and tests
Must Have
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 3+ years of experience in cloud/platform/backend related design, development
- Experience with backend technologies such as node.js or GO
- Knowledge of the HTTP specification, and strong opinions around RESTful API design
- Experience with cloud integration including AWS (ECS, CloudFormation, S3, etc)
- Experience with Redis, Apache Spark, distributed data processing pipelines and data engineering is strongly preferred
- Good communication skills in English, both writing and speaking
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Protocol Buffers and gRPC
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL
- Experience in C++, Python
